Have you tried using pc-nrfutil? Its a python based version of nrfutil, here is the link to the github page.

I am using nrfutil 0.3.0 on linux and having this issue. It has something to do with how nrfutil is creating the zip file.

@nateperry: Have you verified that you're using the latest version of nrfutil, should be 0.3.0? If not, then download the newest version of nRFGo Studio which also includes nrfutil.

I never got this fixed and still am having problems with zip files. I have been unzipping the file and using the bin and dat files. I'm using a windows 10 machine Nate

Do you see the same behavior when not setting a SD requirement?

nrfutil dfu genpkg <name of firmware image>.zip --application <name of app hexfile>.hex --application-version 0xFFFFFFFF --dev-revision 0xFFFF --dev-type 0xFFFF --sd-req 0xFFFE

Could you upload the zip file that generates the error?

Its the same on IOS and android with the latest version. android is 1.16.3
