I can't answer the question, but I'm researching 6LoWPAN now, and it seems almost useless to me at this point in the game.

If the Android and iPhones allowed a trusted BLE-device to use the phone as a gateway, I could see this being useful. But as is - and to the best of my knowledge Apple specifically has not nor has shown any indication that this will be available for trusted USER devices (it seems to me the iWatch already uses the phone as an allowed and transparent gateway).

Am I wrong here? How is everyone planning on solving the gateway-issue to make 6LoWPAN appealing? I know an Android or IOS APP itself could be made to gateway the data, but this is kind of annoying to the user that they need to run the gateway app to access their device that should be transparently online right?

It will be a new SoftDevice and a new QDID.

Unfortunately, if you want to use a new feature you would need to relist your product.

The main idea is that the QDID's you are using need to cover all the BLE features that the product are using.
