Was there a solution found to this? I am having a similar problem. Our application does not launch after a DFU update on custom hardware, but instead launches back into DFU_TARG. The same software combination of SoftDevice, Bootloader, and App works on pca10040 DK.

Actually, as I'm a bit on an hurry to release the app firmware i cannot replicate the error, it is working well for now. As soon I'll go back to the bootloader code I'll get back to you ;)

Actually the bootloader is working, i can do OTA updates without problems but debugging is a little difficult, I've tried to set the optimization to level 0, changed the irom1 start, increased the size of irom1 and unchecked the "cross-module optimization" but still got one error on compiling time. With the cross-module opt everything works as expected.

Sorry for missing that! Yes, if you're using the ANT bootloader then the memory settings in the original question are correct. Are you able to reach the start of main when debugging the bootloader?

There is no word about BLE bootloader. Max is using ANT technology with default settings, probably: nRF51_SDK_v10.0.0_dc26b5e.zip\examples\dfu\experimental_ant_bootloader\

No, the S310 v3.0.0 is only compatible with IC revision 3 hardware, see this page on our Infocenter. However, the S310 v3.0.0 should run fine on a QFAAF0 chip. Does the QFAAF0 chip advertise as DfuTarg if you flash it with the bootloader and the SoftDevice? The bootloader is usually placed at 0x3C000 and not 0x3B800, but as long as the size is set to 0x3C00 and youre not using the bootloader settings flash page at 0x3FC00 for anything else, then you should be fine.

Which version of the S310 are you using, v1.0.0, v2.0.1 or v3.0.0? QFAAE0 is a IC revision 2 chip and is only compatible with S310 v1.0.0 and S310 v2.0.1. The QFAAF0 chip is IC revision 3 and only compatible with S310 v3.0.0.

Is the chip on you custom board identical to the chip on the DK in terms of Flash and RAM ?
