Do you think I have to use nrfGo Studio to update the firmware or I have to use another tool? What file I have to pass to the tool? all the .hex I have for the firmware version I want?

You should ignore that message - it is correct, it is just because some incompatibility between nordic and adafruit dongle. What i measn is: there is 1 firmware ONLY for sniffer purpose, and the second firmware ONLY for AT commands. you should look on adafruit sites for ble friend firmware.

Yes it is possible, I noticed now that my firmware is outdated, know when I select CTRL-R from the terminal say to me I have to program manually with nrfGO studio, but I can't find nothing usefull to do it on internet. Any Idea?

The board is the same - I am 99% sure the sniffer firmware is different than friend firmware (you can flash both if you have programmer, or maybe there is some DFU implemented?)

The BLEfriend and my board are the same, the firmware should be the same and yes, with CMD mode I mean AT commands sending mode.

If by CMD mode you mean AT commands sending mode - isn't it like that, you need different firmware for this functionality? nrfsniffer is one firmware, and the so-called BLEfriend (that works with at-commands) is different firmware? I think it was like that some time ago, I had that board from adafruit, but with older revision of the chip.

I'm using BLE Sniffer nrf51822 of AdaFruit, about the firmware I don't have idea. I think 0.6.2 or higher because is the black one.

What hardware are you exactly using, and what firmware you have flashed?
