The installation steps were the same on both systems, one Win7 SP1 64, and the other Win7 64.

The solution above work for me only with the PCA10001 but not for the dongle PCA10001.

I found the solution in the software and firmware version.
Used the version 10.0.1 (windows version) and firmware
ble-sniffer_nRF51822_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer.hex

Found the solution on mbed:

developer.mbed.org/.../

Well!!!! Updating my above comment...

Again still not finding the dongle and keep asking me if the sniffer is running already.
I am using Windows 8.1 and noticed that the ble-sniffer_win_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer.exe is a 32 bits.
Can load the dongle firmware and can see the dongle on the com port as JLINK CDC UART.

If some one has any clues?!

RE: Sniffer can't find pca10000

You're both right. You need to use nRFgo Studio or nrfjprog to flash the ble-sniffer_nrf51822_0.9.5_Sniffer.hex firmware contained in the Firmware folder to the dongle. This firmware should be flashed without a softdevice on the dongle.

How to do this flashing is also described in chapter 2 of the Sniffer User Guide.

RE: Sniffer can't find pca10000

What .hex did you flash the dongle with?
