I really hope there is a way to scan on selective channel not using TimeSlot. That would be much easier.

Timeslot will still be a feature in the SoftDevice as it is needed for example if you want to use multiple protocols, but the multiactivity example may not use timeslot as the scanning can be done with the SoftDevice. I see that scanning on channels selectively must be done using timeslot, I will let the developers be aware of this drawback.

I can't understand what you mean about timeslot may not be used in the future. Even if it's experimental, accessing RADIO peripheral directly using timslot API is still useful because softdevice doesn't support all kinds of variations. For example, it's not possible to scan channels selectively without using timeslot example. Am I getting wrong?

I don't think there is a problem with timeslot on nRF52, but rather with the RADIO peripheral code. The multiactivity example is experimental and therefore project for PCA10040 is not there. Since scanning and advertising can be done while in a connection without using timeslot, the example may be misleading, therefore timeslot may no be used in the future for scanning and advertising.

Thanks Ole. I think you are right. After I change code not to use timeslot, there's no problem. Seems like there's an issue with timeslot with nrf52. There will be some reason that multiactivity beacon example is not updated to support nrf52. Anyway thanks again.

The radio peripheral is a bit different on the nRF52 so it may not work to directly migrate the PCA10028 example to PCA10040.

You don't need timeslot to scan for beacons, this can be done with the SoftDevice. One of the examples in multiactivity_beacon does not use timeslot, I would rather take this example an make it work on PCA10040.
