&lt;p&gt;I also noticed that ARM mbed use the Nordic SDK with BSD-3 licence, see &lt;a href="https://github.com/ARMmbed/nrf51-sdk/blob/master/BSD-3clause-Nordic.txt"&gt;github.com/.../BSD-3clause-Nordic.txt&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
