If you give up with keil, I suggest using segger embedded studio - there is tutorial somewhere here how to set it up. It works much smoother than eclipse... still, it uses arm-gcc, but has better debugging performance.

But Keil should work anyway, probably some1 will figure it out.

No problem. I think you have been most helpful and patient. If things still cannot work, I can always use the more unfriendly free arm-gcc as a last resort. I do wonder if I can get that working if I cannot get the simpler keil working.

My keil is installed in C:\Keil_v5. The examples using pack installer were installed here in C:\Keil_v5\ARM\Pack\NordicSemiconductor\nRF_Examples\11.0.0-2.alpha\ble_peripheral\ble_app_uart\pca10028\s130\arm5

maybe you have keil installed in some strange path? do you have it on something like C:\Keil_v5 or deeper?

Yeah. It's weird. I just installed the examples from pack installer. I lauched the Keil project from the pack installer examples folder. It is still the same error. Sigh ...

I don't think so, I am using free version with no problem. Hmm, that is weird, i thought my advice would help. What i would try next is maybe go to pack installer in keil and try installing nordics newest device family pack.

Thanks. I installed before I asked the question. I re-installed the latest version again after your answer. It is still the same symptoms. I am at a loss :( Could it be I have to purchase Keil and not use the free version?
