&lt;p&gt;New BLE 4.2 features:
Support for Long ATT MTU up to 512 bytes
Support for Data Length Extension
Support for LE Privacy 1.2 (directed advertising privacy)
Support for LE Ping
Changes and improvements:
API changes to support new features.  Simple migration document with the diff of changes will be available.
Increased Flash and Static RAM usage to support new features....
