There is a Bluetooth SIG event in London on 16 June where more details may emerge. Bluetooth SIG members aren't allowed to give details until the features are made public by Bluetooth SIG even if they know them. But as Nordic says in the post above some of the new features will require new silicon so, who knows, perhaps Bluetooth version 5 enabled chips won't be available until Q1 or Q2 next year.
