So I'm fairly new to programming the nrf51822 and using the Nordic platform.
I'm currently using the nrf51822 Waveshare DK. I have setup JLink5.1.2, nrf5_MDK_8_5_0, ARM Keil 5.20 lite and I've installed nrfGo Studio. When I load up nrfGo Studio

RE: Getting Started on nrfGo Studio programming nrf51822

I have similiar problem. I installed Segger J-Link, but my board hasnt been recognized via usb (in control panel i had CP2102 with yellow "!"). So i downloaded drivers to it and now it appears each time i connect my board via USB. But still i can not program my board. nrfjprog in command line says there is no board connected. I can not find any boards via JLink GDBServer. How did you solve the problem to program nrf51822? I am not sure if my motherboard is malfunctioning. The led called SPD (lights up when i connect it for about 10 seconds and then lights down. Is it normal?
Hope you can help me.

Do you use any kinds of the debugger like J-Link Lite ? If you only use the EVB like this, seems there's no debugger on the EVB. The USB on the board connects to the CP2102, which is a USB to UART bridge. This bridge only connects to the UART peripheral on nRF51, and basically you can not use nRFgo Studio to program the chip through it. nRFgo Studio needs a Segger J-Link to program the nRF5x.
