Also, we will check the leak on the other components. If any leak is there, it&amp;#39;s easier to forget the whole thing and just put nRF to sleep mode, with GPIO wakeup.

&lt;p&gt;We have an example implementation on this in the &lt;a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.nrf52/dita/nrf52/app_example/solar_beacon/introduction.html?cp=2_6_0"&gt;solar powered sensor beacon&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Make sure that you are using a battery that supports the instantaneous current draw that you may get, alternately use a large enough capacitor bank. If you drain too much current from the battery the voltage may drop rapidly and cause power on reset.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What current levels are you seeing through the GPIO, and total current in your off mode? I expect that there is some small leakage current in all devices, FETS, nRF, diodes, etc.&lt;/p&gt;
