I'm a quite new BLE stack user and need to get some idea on the idea behind service discovery.
I'm using the S130 and the BLE central example and want to read the services and the corresponding characteristics of a peripheral.
If you understand concept of ATT/GATT server/client roles as defined in BT Core then you can directly proceed to examples in the SDK (here is one of related Q&As on this forum). If you miss higher protocol layers such as ATT/GATT/GAP you should go back to introduction articles about BT Smart (BLE) as such (there are many sources on the internet nowadays, I always recommend this original presentation by BT SIG from 2010 during official introduction of LE as part of BT 4.0, member login required but registration is for free).

Cheers Jan
