&lt;p&gt;Performing a Device Firmware update(DFU) with a hex is the legacy way of updating firmware, applicable for SDK v6.x and older.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You have to create a distribution zip containing the firmware image in order to perform a DFU if you&amp;#39;re using SDK v7.x and upwards.&lt;/p&gt;
