The development board has a micro USB port on it and that&#39;s the hard wire connection. This is the hard wire path used to drop software on the chip or debug it. With the kit, using the NXT mbed compiler, you simply load an appropriate software program, compile it, save the compiled hex file, then drag and drop the hex file on the folder JLink that appears in the File Explorer navigation tree. Turn on the on/off button and you could probably disconnect the 3 volt supply so you don&#39;t waste battery power by disconnecting the USB cord then storing the device while the power is on (it&#39;ll drain the battery eventually). Most of this information is in the User Manual for the Development board; however, I fear you have not bought the development board.
