Is it just the softdevice you flashed? or is there any application and/or bootloader?

Please make sure that you are supplying enough power to the input pins. Since the original author did not respond to my questions, it is little unclear what they did.

Hi, we meet the same question. Before download the soft device, it's ok.After both keil and nrfgo can not detect the nrf52 Chip.

since you say that your device is consuming very less power. Most likely, it is going to system_off mode where the debugger wont be able to connect to it unless you make it come out of deep sleep. Try

> nrfjprog --recover -f nrf52

I am having this exact problem,

I solder down a nRF52832, power up, draws just over 4mA

i use nrfprog to erase, all erased ok

i use nrfprog to flash softdevice, it flashes, then afterwards current drops off to low uA

Now i cant connect using nrfprog, just get a message saying "cannot connect to any nRF device"

I thought the first time i have a board problem, so i checked everything, hot-air removed the nRF52832, put a new one down and exactly the same thing has happened again

Its a custom board

softdevice 132

jlink can not now detect the device

any ideas?

how are you trying to download your app to your device? using nrfgo or KEIL? flashing softdevice from nordic should not in any way affect the ability of jlink to detect the device.
