&lt;p&gt;I would add the limitation that write and erase operation may fail with active softdevice to your list (see chapter &lt;a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.s132.sds/dita/softdevices/s130/flash_mem_api/flash_mem_api.html"&gt;Flash memory API&lt;/a&gt; in the softdevice specification). Depending on the use cases you have a lot of additional software is required to work around this possibility.&lt;/p&gt;
