in &lt;code&gt;examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_beacon\pca10028\s130\arm5_no_packs\_build&lt;/code&gt; is the compiled &lt;em&gt;application&lt;/em&gt; only. The hex files under &lt;code&gt;examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_beacon\hex&lt;/code&gt; on the other hand, are application files merged with the SoftDevice. This just for convenience, so that they can easily be tested by flashing only that single file.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;(Multiple hex file (such as the application and SoftDevice) can easily be merged using for example &lt;code&gt;mergehex&lt;/code&gt;, which is part of  &lt;a href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/nordic/Products/nRF51822/nRF5x-Command-Line-Tools-Win32/33444"&gt;nRF5x-Command-Line-Tools&lt;/a&gt;.)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
