I'm i'm sniffing the NRF51822 s110, using the Nordic's BLE sniffer (on s120).
The BLE device is in a connection, and do a connection parameter update to a new interval of 108.75ms (indicated as 87 in the LL_CONNECTION_UPDATE_REQ).

Will you correct this issue? it is rather uncomfortable to perform timing analysis this way.
A lot of times i need to synchronize the WS log to other logs. This is done most of the time using time differernces.
Is there a way to add some more fields regarding the timestamp? I will be happy to continue this via private messaging.

RE: BLE sniffer - delta time is inaccurate?

Hi Hagay,

I just checked with the developer. You are correct. The delta time "end to start" is the one that is reliable. The "start to start" is not correct one.

And your calculation is correct.

The time stamp on the TIME column also not reliable since it's the time stamp on UART on PC.

There are some cases on devzone where we recommend the use of "start to start", we would need to correct them. Please report back if you spot one of them.

Btw, please use Wireshark v1.10.x instead of v1.12. The sniffer is best when using with v1.10.x (so that the Nordic plugin will be used, not the BLE plugin from Wireshark).
