You can use the P20 header for programming an external target. You can consult the image for the pinout of this header.

SH_GND_DETECT must be at GND, and SH_VTG at VDD (1.8V). You can get these from pins on P13. Then just connect the SWDIO and SWDCLK to the SWDIO and SWDCLK of the target board, connect ground, and VDD if required.

Thereafter you can simply use the upload features from Keil, or nRF Go Studio, or JLink tools, the same way as you would program the target on the DK.

yes you are right. In P20 dont have GND it is GND Detect.

So we have to connect VTG on P20 strip connector to VDD on female connectors onto side & similarly GND of P20 strip connector to GND on female connectors onto side.

thank you for reply. this nrf8122 module have only one VDD. if one VDD goes to other VDD in development kit. which VDD i have to connect with VTG in dk board.

Hi ,

Follow the below steps (in dev kit P20 strip connector)

GND connect GND
VDD connect VDD
SWD IO connect SWD IO
SWD CLK to SWD CLK
In dev kit VTG is connect with VDD
In dev kit GND detect is connect with GND

I have nRF51-Development kit PCA10028 that has JLink segger on it.

What is the programmer you are using like J-link or any DK????
