BTW. LightBlue works on iPhone 4S, on iOS9 up to the point where you try to connect. It then gets an error

I am not sure about the iPhone 5S but, Apple broke the BLE functionality in iOS9 for the iPhone 4S and don't seem to be interested in fixing it.

I went to an Apple store with my iPhone 4S to complain and they said the only options were for them to replace my phone with an iPhone 6 (I would have to pay for this) Or I could swap my phone for an older iPhone 4S which still had iOS 8 on it. (but the phone would be used and possibly scratched etc)

So basically my iPhone 4S is no longer usable for BLE testing ;-(

thanks, I tried your app nrf_Uart on iphone, and it cannot find the device, nrf_Uart on Android works fine.

I mean, I turned on the iphone bluetooth, it was continuously searching and can not list the device. I will try "lightblue" to see if it helps, but even it works, does it support other application, such as Nordic's demo nrf_Uart app?

What do you mean "found by"

Did you try using the "LightBlue" app on the iPhone?
