SDK 9 and 11 examples are ported for nRF51-DK development board with <a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.nrf51/dita/nrf51/compatibility_matrix/nRF51422_nRF51822_ic_rev_sdk_sd_comp_matrix.html?cp=3_0_3">nRF51 third revision</a>. PCA10001 is second revision so perhaps it is most convenient to use the SDK 6.1.0 examples.
