&lt;p&gt;However, I think it would be quite hard to write mesh software to run on this device as the spec says it only has&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Nordic nRF905 is the same device but without the built in MCU, so you could pair it with an external MCU e.g. I suppose you could use a nRF51822 as the MCU and not use the BLE.
