hi, i successfully added dfu service to existing project by observing this link devzone.nordicsemi.com/docume.... the problem is after flashing the code to PCA10028. keil project is showing that flash is finished but. nRFTool box application not even display ing the device name.

i even added bootloader_utill.c, dfu_app_handler.c, and added required files needed for dfu service to ble_app_hrs_with out dfu. this is compiled with out any problem. flashed to the pca10028. still it is not displaying the device name in nRFTool box application.

i tried your solution but after power cycle the chip(dk board) nRF studio recommending to update firmware but during update nRF go studio forcefully stoping.

Could you try to update the JLink firmware on the DK? You can download the FW using this link. Power your DK off and hold the reset button down while powering it on. The DK should then show up as a BOOTLOADER drive. Drag and drop the FW .bin file onto the drive and then power cycle the chip after a couple of seconds.

led 5 is blinking and nrfgo studio showing device name. but it is not showing application and softdevice regions.

Is LED 5 blinking on your NRF51 DK? Does the device show up as a JLink CDC UART Port under Ports in Device Manager?

command prompt is showing that Cannot connect to any nRF device. Please make sure a device is connected tot he debugger and supplied

Looks like I have ran into a problem after flashing bootloader "dfu_dual_bank_ble_s130_pca10028.hex"; Softdevice "s130_nrf51_2.0.0_softdevice.hex" and example Application "ble_app_hrs". After which I don't see the device responding or showing its name on nRFConnect app. When I tried opening the device in nRFgo studio, it shows "Segger 681857041" under "nRF51 development boards" but doesn't detect nRF51 chip onboard of nRF51DK. So the J-Link works fine but nRF51 doesn't responds for some reason, I tried erasing the flash using "nrfjprog" utility but got a reply "ERROR: Cannot connect to any nRF device. Please make sure a device is connected tot he debugger and supplied." Any help would be appreciated.

You find the bootloader examples under <nRF51_SDK v10.0.0 folder>\examples\dfu\bootloader\pca10028\dual_bank_ble_s110\arm5_no_packs

yes i am using correct sdk. flashed soft device, but not flashed bootloader where i can find bootloader to flash.

Have you flashed the SoftDevice, Bootloader and your application with DFU support to your nRF51 DK? Have you verified that youre using the the correct version of the SoftDevice?

hi, thank you for responding. i successfully added dfu to my code. and compiled it and flashed to the board10028, but the problem is unable to scan bluetooth (device name) and also led1 are not blinking.

@saiteja : Which version of the S110 SoftDevice are you using? The link you provided is for the S110 v6.1.0. Is this the version that you are using? If so, then you must include the files from <SDK-folder>/nrf51822/source/bootloader_dfu and not the files from the Nordic Semicondutor Keil Pack.
