As Cocoa correctly says, it is not currently possible to switch between roles, or to have two softdevices on the chip at the same time. I'd therefore recommend that you accept his answer. :-)

No, nRF51 SDK does not do it, maybe in future. Today only one role, one at a time, on nRF51822.

Crazy idea for evil genius, two nRF51822, one with S120 the other with S110 and a RF GaAs Antenna switch.:D

My application does not require to be central an peripheral as the same time. But alternatively at different time.

We have used TI' CC2564 stack and it does allow a BLE device to be a peripheral when connected by a iPhone. And the device receives some data from iPhone, then disconnects from iPhone, then it acts as central to write the data to other BLE devices.

I wondering whether nrf51 SDK can do the same thing currently or in the near future?

I think is not possible, as Nordic has two different QD ID , one for S110 and another for S120. No designs and declaration IDs for a device with S120 and S110 running together are available, at the moment, on Bluetooth SIG database. This from a Bluetooth SIG point of view.

Nobody forbids you to take S120 on a external flash and load when you need it. Very messy but doable.
