So the problem was probably due to lack of that bandwidth control feature in older chips. Great that You solved it :)

Trying to change setting “Number of Packets” to 1 in Settings -> DFU to give the adapter more time solved the problem. Update takes longer, but it succeeds!

Yup indeed thats the one im using...time to update DK, but hopefully Nordic guys will have a look at the app..

You trying on pca10000? Just checked that - doesn't work for me either (i did try on PCA10000), same error like yours. There may be something wrong with UART configuration, or just too old chip revision.

You could try closing all the rest of the software that could interfere with that (like nrfgo studio, mcp, serial monitors etc), and try, but probably you already did that.

Ok, i am out of ideas. I bet something is wrong with communication, like it cannot access serial port but... I don't know why would that happen.

tried flashing connectivity hex from nrfConnect folder, but still having the same problem:

nrfjprog -f NRF51 --program c:\Keil_v5\connectivity_115k2_with_s130_2.0.1.hex
Parsing hex file.
Reading flash area to program to guarantee it is erased.
Checking that the area to write is not protected.
Programing device.

Something wrong with your nrfjprog, maybe you could try taking connectivity firmware (probably could be the same as for desktop version of nRF Connect), flash it manually (or by nRF Connect) and try again, without -f

I think it should also work with nrfutil. note that you also need newest version of nrfutil (installed ex. via pip)

I have Android 6.0, so not that much older... unfortunately dont have the DK from nrf52, only have old 51 DK.

Maybe your android version does not have something BLE related... i am using android 6.0.1.

If you have spare nRF52-DK, you could try DFU using nrfutil, I am using it with success right now.

kk, please re-upload package with proper hw version, i will try that. tried changing it in hex editor, but crc does not match :D so please generate it.

Thought it was my hw version and not the version of Nordic, but I recreated package with 52. Now it does start uploading in nrfConnect, but then at some point i get a message that BT adapter is disabled, then it gets enabled and then the app is hanging.

I haven't tried uploading, but I analyzed your zip package and i think you created ZIP for --hw-version 1. You should use: --hw-version 52. Please confirm that - if that does not help, i will try on my device.

I have the latest version of nrfConnect, just checked. Do you mind checking if it works for you using my bootloader and app (attached to the top question)?
