&lt;p&gt;as you correcty state in your question, the UICR registers can only be erased by issuing a &lt;code&gt;ERASEALL&lt;/code&gt; command (i.e. erasing entire chip). It is possible to alter the content of a UICR register at runtime, but it is only possible to change 1&amp;#39;s to 0&amp;#39;s.&lt;/p&gt;
