This is pretty strange, I think the last I saw this was with Android 4.4.

Have you tried with our examples in the SDK ?

A sniffer trace would be very useful, please make sure you record the whole process, from the initial bond till the bond is missing and re-bond is required.

Hi Hung,

Yes, I mentioned in my post(last paragraph) that I can see the device in my bonded list.

Yes, it worked normally if I just the connect is lost by long range, and it reconnects just fine when it is in range. I would use existing bond info.

I am using nexus 5, nexus 6, nexus 7. They are all either latest android api 23 or 24.

I will look into the sniffer trace. Thanks.

Have you checked if the device is in the bonded list ? (in Bluetooth setting, or by looking at the device when do scanning with nRF Connect app)

You mean it worked normally and you can re-connect and re-pair if you don't do "turn off and on Bluetooth" on the phone ?

Could you give some more information about the phone ?

If you can capture a sniffer trace, things would be more clear.
