Sorry,there is very little question and answer about mesh DFU, I have to ask a question:

1.When I use sdk8.0 to do mesh job,I must use nrfutil v0.5.2,right? But if there is no security on legacy DFU, this way, we do not need to do step2 and step3 to generate private key and public key?

2.About example file,The quick start guide said "This example file already has entries for SD, App and Bootloader sections, firmware IDs and a public key. Replace the public key entry with the one you generated. " question is \nRF51-ble-bcast-mesh\nRF51\bootloader\pc-util\example file blow:

APP_START: 0x18000 APP_SIZE: 0x18000

SD_START: 0x1000 SD_SIZE: 0x17000

BL_START: 0x3A000 BL_SIZE: 0x5800

COMPANY_ID: 0x00000059 APP_ID: 0x0001 APP_VERSION: 0x00000001

S110 v8.0 SD_VERSION: 0x0064

BL_ID: 0x01 BL_VERSION: 0x01

Do not has a public key to replace.

3.Last question is how to set application project IRAM and IROM?

Dose that mean when I use v0.5.2 step2 and step3 do not need generate the key? And I found example file did not has the public key info. As you said it is a legacy DFU.Am I right?

You are probably using nrfutil v1.5.0 which only works for the Secure Bootloader in SDK v12.0.0 and the serial transport layer has not been implemented yet.

You have to use nrfutil v0.5.2, available here, as this version supports legacy DFU( both BLE and serial). Download the zip and follow the instructions in the Readme.md file.
