i development a FW with a low power and when i measure the power consumption using a nrf connector on evaluation board i have 2 ua, and it's ok. Now i have the some hw, on my prototype when i use a nrf52 and the consumption is very high 400 ua

RE: Prototype current consumption high

I have the same issues , are you find a solution ?

RE: Prototype current consumption high

difference between the two is only the LED and Button configuration and the UART is disabled in the brf_drv_config.h file

RE: Prototype current consumption high

can you see the difference between the pca10040.h and custom_board.h? the clock is the NRF_CLOCK_LF_SRC_XTAL? and are you sure that the UART is disable?

RE: Prototype current consumption high

Yes, they are identically besides that I changed the board type from "BOARD_PCA10040" to "BOARD_CUSTOM" and edited then the custom_board.h (I got this file from the firmware package from sparkfun)

RE: Prototype current consumption high

is the code same for the two boards?

RE: Prototype current consumption high

learn.sparkfun.com/.../nrf52832-breakout-board-hookup-guide

Last answer. Yes I use a DC/DC configuration, do you think that it this is can be a problem?

RE: Prototype current consumption high

I see, lets pursue a different road first (if we end up needing to review the hardware we also have a closed support portal called mypage).

The current draw you are seeing is very much in line with what you might see if you get an error that causes your device to reboot. Please follow the guidelines in this post to enable DEBUG output.

The most likely cause for this type of error is that the crystals in your design have a different tolerance than the ones in the reference design, in this case they have to be initialized differently. E.g. for a 20ppm crystal you would call:
SOFTDEVICE_HANDLER_INIT(NRF_CLOCK_LFCLKSRC_XTAL_20_PPM, false);

RE: Prototype current consumption high

No i Can't :(, sorry

RE: Prototype current consumption high

Could you send a schematic of your custom board?

RE: Prototype current consumption high

No, i don't have error when debugging.
