&lt;p&gt;What power have you set the nRF8001 and blend micro to?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Are either a custom board, if so did you tune the RF parts properly?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Finally, what kind of environment are you getting the 13 m range in? Solid surfaces nearby can affect the range of the system.&lt;/p&gt;
