It could be valid; I&#39;ve seen square markings before. However, the chip markings may have been copied from an authentic chip, so if you want to be 100% sure you will have to send the chip to us.</p> <p>The chips needs to be sent to our Quality Assurance(QA) department for analysis. I kindly ask you to create a support ticket in our <a href="http://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/Support-Community/Contact-Support-Team">Mypage</a> system (remember to link to this devzone question) and then I&#39;ll transfer it to the QA guys. The QA guys will provide you with instructions and shipping address.</p> <p>I would appreciate if you could share info on where you got the chips from, when you figure out.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
