As you can see in the code, peer manager is not involved in the NFC part of the pairing process (OOB authentication key). m_oob_auth_key is used in nfc_ble_pair_default_msg_encode(..) and used during the pairing process in main.c (sd_ble_gap_auth_key_reply(..) ).

About the peer manager, is there codes which contribute or involve NFC pairing?

Or does the peer manager has nothing to do with the NFC?

Basically, what you need to change is to replace the hrs service files with the NUS service files. Remember to add the nus BLE event handler in ble_evt_dispatch(..) and remove the hrs event handler.
If you don't want to store bonding information, you should remove everything that has to do with the peer manager.
