It may be possible, but this is not something that we have looked into.

Hi Bjørn, thanks for the answer. It seems quite feasible to use simple rectifier circuit to harvest that 480uA from external NFC reader, thus saving power from the battery. Right?

The nRF52832 will consume battery power(about 480uA) when it is in the Activated state, please see the Electrical Specification of the NFCT peripheral, found here.

may i ask a follow up question? during NFC of nRF52, does it consume battery power? Or the power is provided by the external device.

Hi Andribiotitico,

as far as I know it is not possible to use the NFC peripheral of the nRF52 to charge the battery of the device. Thus, we do not have any examples for this use-case.
