I also had some trouble to get the sniffer to work (Windows 7(32bit)). Here are some remarks. Maybe they are helpful:

It does not work with PCA10000, but it works with PCA10031
It does not work with a too new Wireshark. I use 1.10.1 as is mentioned in the user guide.

Can you upload the log file mentioned in your screenshot? Can you try to downgrade your Wireshark version, see this thread.

Thanks for your reply.

Here is what I tried on my office PC.

I run ble-sniffer_win_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer as admin but no help.
(btle or nordic_ble) I'll double check this later.
(libwireshark.dll) I'll double check this later
Wireshark 2.2.3 is installed.

I just install the package on another PC (my home notebook). It came out this message after I executed the "ble-sniffer_win_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer.exe".

How can I solve this?error message.png

Hi,

Did you run ble-sniffer_win_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer.exe as Administrator the first time, as described in the user guide? Can you try the the steps described under Wireshark does not recognize btle or nordic_ble, and the Sniffer program cannot find version information for the plugins in the troubleshooting section in the user guide?

Have you confirmed that the file libwireshark.dll is present in the install directory? Which version of Wireshark did you install?
