Incase someone stumbles upon this again:

I was able to fix this problem by installing python 2.7.12 (x86), updating pip, uninstalling all python packages using this reference:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/40566052
Finally reinstalling the support packages in "python_packages.bat"
This seemed to fix the problem!

I can confirm that I too had the same problem using Python 2.7.13. Uninstalling and installing 2.7.12 worked like a charm.

I also had a similar issue, but it seems like using Python 2.7.12 and NOT 2.7.13 worked better.

This is before or after you installed the new python from USB stick ?

It shows:

But I got the system working. My colleague gave me another Python27 package in a USB-stick and ppk started to work with that installation. I don't know what could be wrong with the first Python27 installation I had in my machine. Maybe it should have been removed entirely from my computer before updating to the version ppk was requiring.

This happens when you are using 64bit python.

DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application comes from pynrfjprog, which tries to load the 32bit SEGGER DLL. When using a 64bit application, the DLL is not compatible and raises this error.

To verify this, just run python from a command line. My output is then as follows:

Python 2.7.12 (v2.7.12:d33e0cf91556, Jun 27 2016, 15:19:22) [MSC v.1500 32 bit (Intel)] on win32

I guess your's will report 64 bit.

Also, a small python script like this can help you determine what you are running

import platform 
print platform.architecture()[0]

Try uninstalling the current version you have, and make sure you download and install the 32bit version of Python 2 (link to x86 MSI installer)

Maybe the Qt5 dll files are not in the path, what dll's are pyqtgraph needing?

Hi Jarmo,

When you run python_packages.bat do you have any issue ? You may want to call it from a command line window so it won't be closed after executed so you can see the log.
