Just for others reference if you are not in Debug mode but it still get reset.

You also need to pay attention on the wake up button definition.

Once you have called bsp_btn_ble_sleep_mode_prepare(), the BSP_BUTTON_0 will be the wake up button.

If the BSP_BUTTON_0 is not set to your intended GPIO number, the nrf52 may reset after advertising timeout.

It could be that after 180 seconds you get the advertising timeout event, and the chip will try to enter sleep mode. If you are in debug mode, the chip will reset. See here for more info on this.

It is really hard to guess what is going on, without having fortune telling crystal orb, or at least the source code.

However, if You are new in nRF5 development, this post might be helpful for you to learn how to debug and handle errors.
