Can you perform a sniffer trace to see what is happening on the air? To figure out if the disconnect is actually sent from the other device. Have you tried conneting two nRF devices to see if you get the same behaviour then?

@Jorgen : The working devices are starting advertising right after the disconnection. I have added a lot of debug out based on the results value of every call to SoftDevice, and no error is reported. On failing devices the only event that I get is a connection event and then nothing more BUT the remote performed a disconnection that is not catch or forwarded to the event handler.

Does the device start advertising again after the connection? Are you checking error codes from every call to the softdevice?

Ok, so their ppm's should be just fine. Can you verify if the firmwares are working/crashing on nRF52-DK to confirm that is/is not hardware based problem?

on XL1 and XL2 : 32.768KHz_20ppm
on XC1 and XC2 : 32MHz_30ppm
