I was able to update to a patched 0.3.7 version of the nanopb. I had to merge in the definition, the initialisation and the call of this callback from the previous version in the SDK.

The callback that's missing is:

void (* decoding_callback)(pb_istream_t *strem, uint32_t tag, pb_wire_type_t wire_type, void *iter);

Ok, tell me which callback thats missing and I will discuss this with the SDK developers.

I checked on the git repository but can't find the callback in both versions. It apears as this behavior has been added for the SDK itself.

Have you tried diffing the 0.3.6 tag and the 0.3.7 tag to see what has changed between the releases?
