nRF Connect v1.0 does not support Secure DFU. You need to use nRF Connect v1.1, you can download it for windows using this link.

No, nRF Connect will ask you if you want to flash the local nRF5x device with the connectivity firmware when you select the serial port in nRF Connect. See chapter 3 in the nRF Connect User Guide, found here.

oh, what is flashed with the connectivity firmware? is it \examples\ble_central_and_peripheral\ble_connectivity ? I flash \examples\ble_central\ble_app_multilink_central.

Can you describe your setup? Do you have 2 nRF5x devices, one that runs the bootloader and SoftDevice and one that is flashed with the connectivity firmware and connected to you computer ?
