I can't get both the softdevice and my app on the chip.
Flashing each one seperately works fine but then when I flash my app (after flashing the softdevice) my can't access all the softdevice libraries

RE: How to add flash programming algorithm for softdevice?

I've been trying to convert my ST32 disco to one and upload a blinky program to my custom nrf52832 board but with no luck some people say it's restricted by segger and not compatiable with keil...

RE: How to add flash programming algorithm for softdevice?

If Keton answered your question please accept his answer by clicking the grey circle next to it.

RE: How to add flash programming algorithm for softdevice?

Sadly, mine wasn't supported.
Good point about the cost.

I may try converting one of my Maple Mini boards (STM32F103CB) boards to a JLink via being a STLink.

RE: How to add flash programming algorithm for softdevice?

I've successfully converted both standalone STLink V2 and lots of STM Nucleo boards equipped with built in STLink. So it's worth trying. Any Nucleo board is still cheaper than an JLink edu.

RE: How to add flash programming algorithm for softdevice?

In my experience the number of STLink devices that can be converted JLink are fairly few.

Only boards which use the STM32F103CB ( 128k flash have enough space to fit the JLink firmware)

And a lot of older STM hardware only have 64k flash.

None of the third party dongles have 128k either.

RE: How to add flash programming algorithm for softdevice?

You can convert many versions of STLink to full JLink using conversion software from Segger site. Then all Nordic tools will work with it.
