You will have to do this anyway if you want to use a J-Link to flash the custom PBC with the nRF51822. As Roger has stated, we do not support programming over a serial interface. &lt;p&gt;You need a SWD programmer, like a JLink or a STLink, or a Blackmagic probe (or many others)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;JLink is the programmer used by Nordic&amp;#39;s SDK, but with some work you can use other programmers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However if you are comming from the Arduino world with little experience in microcontroller development, you should buy something like Nordic&amp;#39;s own development kit (board) which comes with built in JLink, or a product that includes a SWD programmer e.g. take a look at the RedBear Lab products.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
