&lt;p&gt;You understanding is correct, with S132 v2.0.0 and v3.0.0 you could have 1-8 central connections, 1 peripheral connection, but max 8 in total.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;S132 v4.0.2 supports up to 20 concurrent connections through. See S132 SoftDevice specification v4 &lt;a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.s132.sds/dita/softdevices/s130/s130sds.html?cp=2_3_0_0"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt; for more info.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I don&amp;#39;t understand exactly what you mean when you say that the S130 is just a broadcaster.
