Comment --- I suggest Nordic do videos or provide exact steps for how to setup-run the base example (like Blinky) using the built in seggerob to breakpoint and step on a main development ide

RE: nrf51-dk and nrf52-dk blinky with keil MDK-Lite 5.22 NOT doing breakpoints

It is now working for me.
I am in a parallels VM on a mac running a windows 10 pro image, I have the nRF5_SDK-12.2.0 on the windows desktop. I selected the keil project file via a path \Mac\Home\Desktop\nRF5_SDK-12.2.0\examples\peripheral\blinky\pca10040 rather than z:\Desktop\nRF5_SDK-12.2.0\examples\peripheral\blinky\pca10040 ... apparently for reasons I do not know the network path starting with \home fails to allow breakpoints to work!
Sorry for not including the important clue but WE/I just learned another way to make it NOT work!

RE: nrf51-dk and nrf52-dk blinky with keil MDK-Lite 5.22 NOT doing breakpoints

Thank you for your answer.
I had read before making this post, that changing the optimization to 0 worked for someone here.
Unfortunately it does NOT for me.
That is why I said ... "Code Gen with Optimization of Level 3 or Level 0 makes no difference"

RE: nrf51-dk and nrf52-dk blinky with keil MDK-Lite 5.22 NOT doing breakpoints

Turn optimization to 0, and recompile WHOLE project (rebuild) and it will just work.
