The internal 16 MHz clock is too inaccurate for any on-air activity.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The 32 kHz crystal is used for timing of the connection events and similar, but this crystal is not required. An internal RC can be used instead, but since it is more inaccurate, the nRF8001 will have to compensate by staying in receive mode for longer. Using the 32 kHz RC will hence increase the average current consumption, with a couple of microampere.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
