I tried the BLE Mesh Example located:

... and for some reason it is not working for me. I posted a comment where the example is posted, but I have not heard back after several days.

No I have not tried RTT with any other examples, as I have never used it before. I just tried the Mesh example and noted that it was not working for me. RTT does appear to log, as if I open or close a respective serial port or do set/clear the handle 0x0 I do see that the RTT reflects those commands.
Cheers,
Sam

RE: Problems with BLE Mesh Example

Hi, do you have this RTT problem with only the mesh example? Have you tried logging data over RTT with one of the examples in the SDK ?

RE: Problems with BLE Mesh Example

Good day Sigurd,
Indeed, RTT appears to not show any messages. Yes, I am able to turn LED1 On and Off via the handle 0x0-Value 1/0 as in the video.
I did download and install the latest Jlink drivers. The Jlink driver associated with the nRF51DK and the Dongles are Jlink CDC Port, Version 6.02601.5, with the date of 8/28/14, Provider is Segger. The Jlink driver located under USB is ver 2.6.8.1 Dated 7/28/14, by Segger. When I check the latest drivers downloaded (ver 6.12) and installed on my computer, I do see that the versions match up (via the .inf files) to what is reflected back from Window's (Win7 64 bit) Device Manager.
Cheers,

Are you able to turn LED1 on/off? Use handle 0x0 and set value to 1 as shown in the video(around 2:20).

What version of J-link do you have? You can download the newest version here.

RE: Problems with BLE Mesh Example

Good day Sigurd,

Thanks again for your response.

On my nRF51-DK I only have one LED and is on. I have two dongles and their LED are both on. None are flashing, simply solid.

Indeed, the firmware image is the same as what I have programmed. To double check I re-programmed the units with the one you referenced and I see the same issue. Is it possible that the JLink driver is somehow affecting the devices from working? I ask, as the DK and dongle LEDs flash when I remove and reinsert them into the USB ports to the point where Jlink driver loads (i.e. to where i can see the device IDs in the "Devices to Program" list within nRF Connect.

Cheers,

Make sure that you use this firmware.

RE: Problems with BLE Mesh Example

Good say Sigurd,

Thank you for your response!

Yes, I do receive the "nRF5-multi-prog: programming completed successfully" message. I even double checked (verified) the programming via mRF Studio... The devices are correctly programmed.

Yes, I pressed the RTT-log button as you indicated... and as I said, I do not get any messages nor does the LED blink (all LEDs simply remain on... no flashing).

So you get
"nRF5-multi-prog: programming completed successfully"
in the regular log after you have programmed the device?

In order to start the RTT-log you have to press this button:

.

The LED will first start to blink when RTT is enabled.
