For iOS I believe that it&#39;s possible for a BLE keyboard to start the camera app by sending a specific key press. It should hence be possible to create a device that pretends to be a BLE keyboard, that can be used to start the camera app and perhaps shoot a picture or similar, depending on what the OS provides. For more information on these capabilities of iOS, you&#39;ll have to refer to the MFi documentation.</p> <p>However, you won&#39;t be able to do something similar to start a custom app.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
