sweep from left to right, will see a option list with Devices, Configure GATT server, Manage favorites, nRF Logger...., main UI contains tabs, SCANNER, BONDED, ADVERSTER, anything else hided?

still could not find the "Connection map", checked every UI of nRF Connect app, doublt if there is anything really missed, hmmm

After loading the Alert Notification Server file, click on "Connection map" and then the "peripheral" settings button.

Maybe I am near sight, I cannot find server settings in step 4, can you do me a favor to verify if it's there in nrfconnect? I am using 4.8.1 version. thanks again.

Bond to the device from nRF Connect (the device is advertising as 'Nordic_Alert_Notif'). To bond, click the settings button for the server in nRF Connect, select "Security parameters", check "Perform Bonding", and click "Apply". Then connect to the device. Observe that the BSP_INDICATE_CONNECTED state is indicated.

If the security request succeeds once, but fails the next trials, it sounds like a problem related to storing of bonding information.

How exactly do you do the testing? Do you delete the bonding information on one of the devices between each trial? After the disconnect, what does the log in nRF Connect says?

would like to know how to confirm the device's security request, happened to succeed once, but failed many times, don't no the correct steps. thanks.

I happen found that my mobile phone will pop up pairing request notice during the test, click the OK but still failed to pairing. then the device timeout and enter the fault. temporarily I remove the security request from the example and the things looks fine.

Before connecting to the phone for the first time, make sure that the bonding information both on the phone and in the nRF52 device is deleted. Could you check if that changes anything?
