I am using nRF51-DK and nRF5_SDK_12.2.0_f012efa. I have programmed Proximity example from the SDK to the Development Kit and was able to successfully program the DK with the sample and i can see the device advertising on the nRF Connect App.

RE: Pairing/Bonding not happening with iOS

As far as I know iOS only reconnects automatically with devices it nativly supports. However you can ask core bluetooth to reconnect to your device from your app when the app is in background mode. I assume this is not implemented in nRF connect. See Core bluetooth background processing for iOS apps for more details.

You already have bond informatino on the device, so you will have to delete this as well.
