Yes, you still need to pass all the regulations.Note that It's possible to buy pre certified modules using the nRF52, see the third party products overview.

If you want to sell ANY product it must be compliant with local regulations. For electronics it's typically environment and radiation safety (such as CE and FCC for US market). If you haven't designed such a thing you definitely should hire some professional who can guide you through it. If you will base your assumptions and decisions on questions and answers on such community like hear it won't end up well.

And nordic does not have and provide BT audio chips ???

It is possible (look on any phone or laptop where you have both WiFi and BT and sometime also other technologies like GSM) but it requires good know how about radio/antenna design and compliance (to be able to pass all certifications). Surely two antennas on are interfering with each other, that's why it is so hard to design such things properly. As I said I cannot advice on any BT Classic + LE combo chip.

I want to ask that on our board we will have NRF51 ok then we want to add Audio bluetooth chip.

My first question is that it is possible to make such combo solution????

Will NRF52 interfere will the frequency of Audio BT chip ???

Can you recommend me some audio only BT chips ??

Hi GPS receiver is just an example, we are in the NDA so can not tell all information.

Basically on our PCB board there will be two chips one NRF51 and one audio bluetooth chip.

NRF51 will be master and will deal with the beacons data as well as control audio chip as well.

Surely it is possible, it's all about details such as how much space you have on PCB, if you can host two 2.4GHz antennas, if you can pass FCC and similar regulations, what communication interfaces you have on the chips and what information you want to exchange etc. Using two BT chips like this looks like completely crazy to me, there must be plenty "combo" chips which can do both BR/EDR and LE.

Basically, our product is a GPS receiver which will calcuate the location based on the RSSI values sent by the beacons.

We also want to add the Bluetooth headphone feature but for that we would need separate IC. Please tell me that is it possible that we can have both NRF52 and Bluetooth audio IC in the same system ??

Sorry I have limited knowledge on classic BT profiles but you should be more specific when you speak about audio: the usual target is A2DP as specified by BT SIG but you can do many proprietary things including low-quality audio over BT LE 4.x. What are your real requirements? I also have very low knowledge about combo an BT classic chips so I cannot advice about such solutions, maybe someone else will help you on the forum (if you are more specific and accurate in the description;).

Thanks for the answer but I want to ask that e.g. if in my product there is NRF52 and then another chip just for bluetooth audio so will NRF52 can interfere will the that audio BT chip or what would be the solution in that case ??

Hi Usman,

There is no BLE profile for audio as far as I know, definitely not in BT SIG Core v4.0 specification. So I suppose you are looking for combo BT Classic BR/EDR + LE chip. And again as far as I know Nordic don't have any such offer.
